OUR HISTORY

Tiger Boxing Club is a Community Amateur Boxing Club founded in 2012 by a group of young refugees with the goal of using Boxing to deter young refugees from engaging in anti-social behavior in Kakuma Refugee Camp and to help them create a better future for themselves. Tiger Boxing Club empowers youths in Kakuma through Boxing training and develops youth talent through Boxing Sport as a major key to influencing positive change and ensuring better human conditions for all living beings.

WHO WE ARE

Our goals are to promote fitness, discipline, friendship, fair play, and respect for all members of the community, especially young people. To improve people’s quality of life by offering a constructive alternative to anti-social behavior such as drug and alcohol abuse, as well as to provide positive role models and social inclusion through interaction with people in our communities.

Our mission is to promote boxing, health, and the well-being of people living in Kakuma Refugee Camp’s most deprived and disadvantaged communities, regardless of race, gender, political or religious beliefs. Our goal is to have a significant impact on the health and lifestyle of the local communities, as well as to provide opportunities for young people to develop and participate in the community.
